I’m running Windows 7. I use Avast Anti-virus etc. I thought I had a Trojan and downloaded Anti-spyware Safeguard. I ran it and it found some bogus programs in my User account. Now it’s asking me to download a heuristic program for $69.95. I can’t get my desktop to show in my User account. I’m using another User account. I don’t find the aforementioned Anti-spy software in the Control Panel. Is there any way I can get my User Account’s desktop to display? Alert me at duffer7@cox.net when someone/anyone responds.
Thanks

AFAIK, AntiSpy Safeguard aka AntiSpySafeguard is a fake anti-spyware program. AntiSpy Safeguard typically spreads via Trojans and it can also be obtained from malicious websites.

This isn’t the right place to be asking a question about Windows 7,
but if you want to rid yourself of that bogus “scareware” AV junk:
1. Start your machine in safe mode with networking.
2. Go get a copy of malwarebytes
(http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php)
3. Install it.
4. Update the signature file
5. Run a full scan on your machine
6. Follow any instructions to remove the junk.
7. Reboot into ‘normal’ mode.

AntiSpy Safeguard is a rogue program. It belongs to the bunch of deceptive tools promoted by fake Security Essentials Alert trojan.
To remove AntiSpy Safeguard spyware you must block AntiSpy Safeguard sites, stop and remove processes, unregister DLL files, search and delete all other AntiSpy Safeguard files and registry utility. Follow the AntiSpy Safeguard detection and removal instructions below.
The most typical software removal method is to remove AntiSpy Safeguard by using “Add or Remove Programs” service. However there may be hidden AntiSpy Safeguard files, running processes and registries in your computer, so AntiSpy Safeguard may recreate all other files after reboot
